40 Days Fasting Negative Thoughts and Words
Thinking God’s Thoughts and Speaking God’s Word
REPEAL AND REPLACE
We are launching on a journey of resurrection celebration; a celebration born out of separation and sacrifice. This 40-day devotional is a setting apart to die to the flesh and everything that would exalt itself against the completed work of Jesus. The word “fast” in the Hebrew means “to shut the mouth.” What an honor to fast (or shut the mouth) to negative thoughts, words, and mindsets, reminding us that we are new creatures with a new creation reality. It is no longer I that lives, but Christ that lives in me! Let’s journey together and remember, no man took His life, but He laid it down willingly. Let us choose, in this same way, to willingly be set apart. From the day we surrendered to the Love of God and asked Jesus to be the Lord of our lives, we have been learning how to acknowledge and unlock the treasures of our living inheritance. Jesus told us not to fear. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom (Luke 12:32). We have a new king, and we long for Him to be enthroned upon our hearts. The Word says that we have the mind of Christ and can understand all things (1 Corinthians 2:16). We are going to acknowledge and engage with His Mind, His Heart, and His Word. Every day is truly a day of resurrection celebration when you recognize the fast He chooses for us is losing the bands of wickedness and destroying yokes of bondage (Isaiah 58:3). We are not giving up negativity, we are simply forgetting those things that are behind, that are beneath, that are below the magnificent station where the blood of Jesus has elevated us. We celebrate Jesus’s resurrection by following Him the next forty days with set apart hearts and minds.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Adopting this theme as our format, we are repealing, or dismantling old mind sets
and replacing them with Jesus, the Word. This, we do with purpose and on purpose!
Each day of transforming celebration will have a mindset to repeal
and the power of the Word to replace that old mindset.
Hallelujah! He is Risen…in Me…Indeed!
40 days we close our mind and our mouths to negative thoughts and words.
We open our hearts and mouths with gracious words, thanking God we are encountering the harvest of the peaceable fruits of righteousness.
WE ARE BEING TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF OUR MINDS
